Everything to know before you go!

Gates Open: 6:00 PM
Music Starts: 7:00 PM (give or take a few Cape Breton minutes)
The Red Farm is located at 1957 Kings Rd, Sydney River, Cape Breton. It stands where was once the ledgendary Tobin's Field - though, if you've ever been there you may not remember getting home!
Just 10 minutes west of downtown Sydney. Located on Kings Road (Highway 4), The Red Farm is easy to find. Look for signage and traffic attendants guiding you in.
Is there parking?
Yes. We offer:
- Free general admission parking
- VIP priority parking for ticket holders
- A designated drop-off and pick-up zone near the barn entrance
Taking a cab?
We recommend pre-booking your ride for pickup at the end of the night. Our drop-off zone will be ready for you.
Using public transit?
Evening service in the area is limited. Please check the Cape Breton Transit schedule in advance or plan an alternate ride home.
Yisss b'y! Free general admission parking is available, along with VIP priority parking and a drop-off/pick-up area near the barn.
We’ve designed the event to be as inclusive and comfortable as possible:
- Accessible parking near the entrance
- Reserved accessible viewing area
- Accessible washroom facilities
If you have specific needs or concerns, feel free to reach out ahead of time or speak with a volunteer or crew member on-site.

Can I bring a chair?
Yes. Standard “bag” chairs are allowed. Just a few notes:
- No high-back chairs, please
- If your chair blocks someone’s view, you may be asked to relocate
- No leaving chairs unattended in line before gates open
- VIPs may bring chairs, and there will also be limited seating provided in the VIP area
What should I bring?
- Small personal bags or purses
- Empty reusable water bottles (1L max)
- Bug spray, and layered clothing
- A good attitude and your dancing shoes
What should I leave at home?
- Outside food or alcohol
- Coolers or picnic baskets
- Large backpacks or framed bags
- Glass bottles or cans
- Large umbrellas or tents
- Pets (except certified service animals)
- Drones, weapons, or anything unsafe
Security will be checking all bags at the gate. We reserve the right to update carry-in policies at any time for safety and comfort.
Yeppp! Expect a handpicked lineup of local food vendors and a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at both General Admission and VIP bars.
Yes. Red Farm Field Trip is a 19+ event. No minors will be admitted. Please bring valid government-issued photo ID.
Yes, you may bring a standard "bag" chair. However:
- No high-back lawn chairs
- If your chair blocks someone’s view, staff may ask you to relocate or remove it
- Chairs left in line before gates open will be removed
- VIP has limited seating provided, and guests may also bring their own "bag" chair
Wristbands will be distributed at the gate on August 3 between 6–9 PM.

Yes. Free refill stations will be available on site. Please bring an empty reusable bottle!
Red Farm Field Trip is a rain or shine event—dress for the weather!

Yes, re-entry is permitted with your wristband. That said, no outside alcohol is allowed—in the venue or in the parking lot. We know yahs love a good time (we do too), but sneaking drinks from your trunk isn’t part of this trip.
Security will be monitoring the lot, and anyone caught with outside alcohol will be asked to leave—no exceptions.
Let’s keep the vibes high and the rules simple: support the local vendors, enjoy a cold one from the bar, and help us make Red Farm Field Trip a tradition we can all be proud of.
What if it rains?
We’re here for a good time, rain or shine. Pack a poncho or rain jacket just in case. In the event of severe weather, updates will be shared by email, on our website, and via our social channels.
Can I get a refund?
All ticket sales are final. No refunds will be issued, including for weather-related conditions.
